Overview
Goby Studio (“Goby”, “the app”, “we”) is a macOS developer utility that helps you clean Xcode caches, Android build folders, and other development artifacts from your machine. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and how it is used.
Data We Collect
Goby itself does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information, source code, file contents, or project data. All file scanning and deletion happens entirely on your device.
We use two Firebase services provided by Google that collect limited, anonymised data:
Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, which cleaning categories are most used and how often the app is launched. This data is anonymised and not linked to your identity, used solely to improve the app experience, and never sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
Firebase Crashlytics
When the app crashes, Crashlytics automatically sends a crash report to help us diagnose and fix the issue. A crash report may include the type of crash and stack trace, device model and macOS version, and the app version at the time of the crash. Crash reports do not include your file names, project paths, or any personal information.
Data We Do Not Collect
Goby does not collect your name, email address, or any contact information. It does not collect file names, folder paths, project contents, source code, build artifacts, your Apple ID or developer credentials, or location data.

Google may process data in the United States or other countries. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policy linked above.
Your Rights
Since Goby does not collect personally identifiable information, there is no personal data for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. For data held by Firebase/Google, you may refer to Google’s privacy policy.
Children’s Privacy
Goby is a developer tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
